If you don't have your mom around, ask a friends mom this question and get her to explain how to insert a tampon. If you don't want to do that then go to you doctors and let then explain this to you. not your dad.

Tampons are not difficult to learn to insert.
Now, if you're dealing with a disability, then that's another story. If that's the case, then there are other options like pads. There is also a smaller version of a tampon, I forget what it's called, but it has no insert tube to bother with. You just insert with one finger, which can be done one handed. If you still need help, then ask a female friend. Asking your dad will be awkard for you and perhaps even awkard for your dad as well.

My best suggestion would be to talk to another female relative about insertion techniques. If you do not have a female family member you can talk to, then you should ask your dad about scheduling you a dr. appointment with your gynecologist. The doctor would be more than happy to answer any questions you might have on that subject and the proper way to insert a tampon.

Absolutely not!! I think your father has a screw loose if he is even considering doing it unless he's a gynocologist and that would still be too weird. There are instructions on the side of the box, I beleive. If you can't do it yourself, don't do it at all. What are you going to do when you need the second one? Is he also offering to take it out for you? You can do it by yourself if you really want to. No one helped me; you are old enough to take care of alot of things yourself - now's a good time to start. DO NOT LET YOUR FATHER DO IT - ITS NOT NORMAL OR ACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR. Do you not speak with your mother? Now would be a good time. Good luck.

The package should come with a crappy but sufficient photo. Just angle it with the top leaning more towards you ( \ ) and if you spend enough time you'll get it yourself. Don't be ashamed to call a girlfriend for advice!
But don't scar yourself for life with the "help" of your dad.
But maybe you're already messed up... 21 year olds that want to get their **** pierced (your words, not mine) usually know how to use a tampon. So what is this? Just a sick fantasy of yours?

with the screen name hotluv, i seriously doubt that you are so innocent that you can't accomplish this simple task by yourself.... if "dad" performs this task for you, i would say you both need some serious psychological counseling.... this is incestuous behavior for which your dad could and should go to jail.... if you aren't old enough to insert a tampon, then you shouldn't be using them... use a pad instead.... grow up honey and get yourself some values and morals... fast! (your profile says you are 21 so who are you kidding???!) and then find yourself a gynecologist who treats young adults..... he/she may be better qualified to help you if you indeed have a physical problem... which i doubt

1st- get a book telling u how to or read the paper that comes with the tampons
2nd- have a Friend, sibling, or WOMAN relative
3rd- use a pad till you know how by ur self
4th- call ur mom up and ask her how
i would not have ur dad unless ur really really reallly close

No. Read the directions inside the box... it's a lot more simple than it sounds. Try it first by yourself following those instructions, if you have a problem ask a good girl friend how to do it.

well i dont know if you have asked your dad? BUT if he was to agree it wouldn"t be right. when you become over a certain age dad"s don"t do thing"s like that to there daughter it"s not proper. if you want to use tampon"s then just keep trying to do it yourself try to relax & you will manage to do it. BUT don"t ask anyone to do it for you if you was to ask a friend & she told people how would you feel then ? as they say practice make"s perfect. good luck.

You have got to be kidding. That is just wrong. You can go to any womens health clinic or even your doctor and a female nurse can come in and show you how.
