It is a myth that Japanese cars are better. Japanese cars are not as good as most people believe and American cars are better than those same people believe. I'm American and I want my money to stay in the US. so I buy American. I'm also a mechanic and I have worked on them both. They all have some really bad designs. Most Japanese cars are more difficult and more expensive to fix.
