I would say either 'War of the Roses' because it deals with a rocky marriage or 'It Runs in the Family' because that has to do with a dusfunctional family. So I have seen both of these and I think they might help you. IF not you can also watch 'Mona Lisa Smile' that was good to for a look at views on marriage. Good Luck!♥

I used to discover as lesbian, yet now trans, and that i'm not real vast on gay marriage. i'm Christian, and it has not some thing to do with the Bible. i'm getting somewhat freaked out about dedication, so even if i needed to, I likely couldn't enable myself get married. It merely feels like a instantly element, and to "different" human beings, it may appear like a freak teach. I likely haven't got a properly-loved view, yet i'm merely not vast on it. not some thing that i'm overly worried about.

For a movie about how it was viewed before, try "Mona Lisa Smile". The girls go to school to have conversation for entertaining guests rather than pursuing careers.

"Guess whos coming to dinner". Its kind of an old movie, but I had to watch it for a report in school, its about the views on marriage in like the 1940s, or around there.

Ok...it doesn't actually answer what your asking. But...I can think of two TV series that actually deal with some of your concerns. And I'm not specifically joking about them even though they are comedies. Mad About You and Married with Children. There's alot of tongue in cheek humor but there's also some realism intertwined. Mad About You...ended up with the couple getting divorced....

How about "Father of the Bride" with Spencer Tracy? Heartwarming movie about a dad, years ago. "Christmas Story" is another movie that is thought of as a holiday movie but is really about family. "Breaking Away" is another great one, about a father and a son. Best of luck to you with your paper.
