Marriage is not a right under the US Constitution. It is left up to each state to define marriage for itself.
While I generally agree with the fiscal conservatives, I believe that they are wrong to oppose the right of homosexuals (sorry, "gay" means happy in my dictionary) to marry.

Discrimination against gays is one of the last great prejudices left that is still somewhat popular in 'decent' society, and it has the advantage of being acceptable across racial, political, and economical lines.
Nothing unites all people of all colors like going after the neighborhood homosexuals.
There are several 'reasons' why gays are not protected or even extended the same rights as everybody else:
Religious objections--God told us all gays are wrong, go with God! Moral objections--we never had homosexuals when I was a child...well, not for long anyway.
Sexual objections--what are they doing together...and how does that compare with what I do?
Social objections--when they dance, who leads?
Madness, I tell you, madness!!!
What it all boils down to is that if gays are recognized as being people. If everyone suddenly begins to think of gays as having the same wishes, dreams, and plans as everybody else then maybe someone will be able to push through some legislation.
After all the reverses in the past 8 years I'm no longer holding out any hope that any legislation will be suggested or passed within the next decade.
We're pretty much as always, on our own again.

What constitutional right are homosexuals not allowed? Marriage is not a constitutional thing. As for homosexuals, I believe they have the same rights as everybody else - they can marry anybody of the opposite sex (with a few exceptions), JUST LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE. How is that not equal? Sounds pretty ***** equal to me.
And there is the very important point that homosexual marriage offers nothing to society. There is no compelling reason that society should just screw around with the basic building block of society, culture and civilization so a few physionomic deviants can play house.

I think gays should not have any constitutional rights at all. They are ruining the traditions of a man and a woman. Also the traditions of a wedding. A wedding is made for a man and a woman. Also being gay is a SIN (if u read the bible) Also there is nothing is the the constition says they have the right to marry. Besides gays arnt right it is wrong.
They can still have their rights to be gay but not to marry

Gay people have the same rights as anyone else. I, for example, cannot marry a male because I am a male.
How can you compare slavery to an action that one chooses to follow?
You seem only to want answers that you agree with. Some of the answers you do not want can be expanded logically.
I suggest you get an education and learn how to critically think.

Because in the eyes of god and the govt it is wrong. I have nothing against gay people. I think they have the right to live and love who they want as long as they are happy however most of the world isn't as opened minded as Iam and they were raised by the bible and that wont be easy to change. I was also one of those people Iam ashamed to say until i became friends with this wonderful gay man and he opened my eyes and now he calls me a fag hag because I love gay guys they are the most amazing and awesome men in this world.

As long as they are American, they are protected by the Constitution...but marriage is not part of the Constitution. It could probably be implied somewhere...but marriage is a Church thing, in general, and there is that wonderful seperation of Church and State....

Because they are biological freaks. However they should be treated with the utmost respect because they are talented and wear nice cloths. Sadly this does not happen in America today.

The constitution protects recognized minorities. Being gay is not a recognized minority section of the US population.
