With my 2nd daughter, I was over 30 days late. I took 3 home pregnancy tests. All negative. When I went to the doctor, a blood test revealed that I was pregnant. Go to your primary care doctor. Especially if you take any kind of anti depressant. anti seizure meds, etc. They can effect the baby's development. And it couldn't hurt to start taking an over the counter prenatal vitamin. Even if you aren't pregnant, the vitamins are great for hair and nail growth.
Good luck.

I took pregnancy test after test with my 17month old daughter. After being 2 months late, the test finally came out positive. Sometimes the stress and worry of being late will make you even later. But if truly concerned consult a doctor, planned parenthood, or your local health dept. Also try taking the test first pee of the morning which has most of the hormone that says your pregnant

At 18 days late the test should definitely be positive if you're pregnant. Are you sure you did it correctly? Also, other things can cause you to not have a period, such as stress and being underweight. Either way check with a doctor, because it's not normal.

Just because you're late doesn't mean anything. You can still have your period and be pregnant too!! If you are under alot of stress, that can make you skip. Some medications can do the same. I would go see your family doctor and have them do a pregnancy test by drawing blood. It's quick, painless, and best of all you get results fairly quickly. By using blood, they can be nearly 100% sure. Good luck.

Yeah go to the Dr.
My wife was about to go into surgery to get a cyst removed when the Dr. comes running in. What a surprise. They have some super duper test that finds these cells that tell them what's up and can pretty much tell you what day it happened and if they're good, you can narrow down morning or night :-)

In response to an answer before mine, she gave no indication that she was having unprotected sex. No forms of birth control give 100% protection.

I went without my period for about half a year until I went on birth control. My doctor said it could have been caused by a number of different things in my case, including a sharp weight loss, great amounts of stress, heavy exercise, and change in diet (became vegetarian). When my body adjusted to the changes, my cycles returned and I went on birth control to regulate them.

Missing your period does not necessarily mean you are pregnant. Don't panic, just see your doctor and see what she has to say.

I would go to a doctor, I had a ectopic pregnancy that ruptured. It was bad. They told me because I was pregnant in my fallopian tubes, the hormone levels are lower than normal, my pregnancy tests were negative up to 7 weeks. Just a thought to see a doctor ASAP.

PLEASE READ THIS WHOLE THING, PLEASE.

depending on your age, if you are still, let's say, under 21, it is not unusual for girls to have irregular periods and even have a few periods and not have anymore for a year or so. birth control will fix that problem.

but to the part where you think you might be pregnant, there is absolutely no excuse for you to be having unprotected sex!!! none!!! regardless of your age!

condoms are free at the health dept. birth control is free to young women.

pregnancy is not the only thing you have to worry about. hpv is one of the most common std's now. you don't get rid of it, ever! you will have bumps on your privates that will come and go.
hpv is also the cause of cervical cancer. luckily there is now a vaccine for the cancer.

i hope that someone has talked to you about safe sex. it's not just for pregnancy.

please don't let a few minutes of pleasure give you a lifetime of something else.

well, i'd say the same things as the others...see your doctor..however...when you're stressed about being pregnant, that can prolong your period...i have had MANY friends with the exact same thing..finally it seemed to have started....don't stress about it, but it's a good idea to see a doctor...if you can't get into yours soon or you don't have insurance, planned parenthood is a great place to go...they have some clinics that are just birthcontrol and exams....

Being late is due to numerous reasons, i.e. stress, menstrual disorder. The most accurate test should be performed at your Doctors office.
