Hands down Fabio Cannavaro of Italy, what a defenceman, best in the world for sure. Imagine how much more potent Italy would be with Nesta back in the lineup, feel sorry for the French on Sunday, Italy will slaughter them.

I think Klose. He saved Germany from losing to Argentina in the quarterfinals by making it 1-1 and taking the team to overteam and past it to penalty kicks, when they won. Lehrman is also a possibility for saving many of the penalty kicks for Germany, but I think overall through the entire cup Klose was best.
(Edit: Oops I thought you were talking about the German team. As for all teams, I thought Ricardo was cool from Portugal, especially when he crushed the English when he stopped their penalty kicks in quarterfinals. Still, he couldn't stop Portugal from losing to France's penalty kick today, so that was sad.)

I think it has been Ronaldo because with all the criticism he has faced with about being over weight and that he couldn't play, he still came out and scored 3 goals and got the record. I think it proves that he is the best player in Germany '06 and of ALL-TIME!!

It would have to Fabien Cannavarro, he has lead the best defensive team out there. Italy is amazing. He is a true captain. And with Italy having the scandal problem he has took the team and made them focus on the WC and not the Italian scandal. He is wonderful.

Zidane of course, no doubt. His skills are incomparable and they have been proven over and over. If France wins the Cup, its mostly due to his playing. He was worth the pull out of retirement.

Klose for sure. 5 goals again as he did last world cup. This time he will win the Golden Shoe as top scorer.
