My friend owns a doughnut shop, and people keep stealing pop from the refrigerator. The refrigerator right near the door, and sometimes teenagers come in and steal the pop when the refrigerator is unlocked.
During the day, there are only two workers in the shop, and two or three at night. Are there any affordable, cheap ways to find out who's stealing? They can't afford to buy a camera or any expensive equipment like that, or even hire another person.
Usually the pop gets stolen like once a week, when the workers are in the back, making the doughnuts.

either keep the fridge locked, or move it somewhere else. exactly how much is getting stolen? one or two single pops, or whole cases?

Borrow someone's video camera. They must know someone who has one. They should just lock the fridge or move it in the back and get it out for people as they pay. It is probably a number of kids who are stealing and they are not likely to stop, even if one or more of them is caught.

Cheap way - move the refrigerator behind the counter. People can still see it but not steal from it.

You can get a security system B/W with 2 camera's, monitor w/switcher for as little as 150 bucks sometimes.
I have setup several local stores with them and some get the security VCR also.
You will be saving money and have peice of mind and maybe keeping some local teen from expanding there stealing.

some stupid individual who thought they might escape with it and advantageous did. yet they gets caught sometime. by employing an informant or such. And their previous gets closer them whether or no longer they like it or no longer. And in the event that they attempt to pawn the television which will supply the police the lead they might desire to get them.
