Grandma will be gone, kids will move out, i am pretty shy, have a hard time with relationships, and a little overweight. Do you think some people just outlive thier usefulness? Do you just wait to die or what?

Grandma is 80 and has metastasized breast cancer, the kids are mine - the kids mom started dating on the internet so I divorced her, my life has been occupied by taking care of others and now they are following life in other directions.

I am really shy 2 until say 3 drinks later and shot or 2 and I talk non stop. I also tend to let my eyes wonder where I would like them to on guys (even in front of family) lol. Also i have this resident i take care of he has a girl friend in the assited living place and he visited her often. your never 2 old, thats what the blue pill is for haha.

There are gay retirement communities you know? However, I will never live in one either. The idea of living where there is no life -- yuck, no.
Seriously, you can't be over 60, if that. Get an advanced degree, an extra doctorate is always nice. Go to archeological digs, learn, live, enjoy.
And all of the gay community does not despise older people. That's silly.
There is much to have in life, live well

I live in a retirement community and most of the people here are having a great time. They travel, play golf, take cruises, dance, entertain, play tennis, etc.
My parents are 81 and even though they can't do as much as when they were younger, they still have their hobbies and take an interest in politics, sports, tv shows.
I think it is important to have something that you feel passionate about.

Many people find new life after their children are grown. Think of those things that you enjoyed in your childhood but didn't have an opportunity to pursue. Write. Explore the world. Join the Peace Corps. Volunteer. The myriad of possibilities are as numerous as they were when you were young.

Just because the kids move out does not mean they don`t need you anymore! Show some Self Respect! You are here for a Reason, we all are. We all make a difference in someone else`s life, no matter if you realize it or not. So please don`t drown in sorrow, pick yourself up and do the things you want to do!!

have a fresh start with life. so what if you are overweight, so what if the kids move out, so what if grandma will be gone, what matters now is YOU. discover yourself, find things that interest you, go out on a date, do not worry about all your insecurities. we only have one life to live. live it to the fullest. live it as if its your last day.
