No. Maybe some tend to be a *little* stubborn, but for the most part thats a stereotype.

I'm 1/4 German, 1/4 Irish, 1/4 Welsch, and 1/4 Scottish. I'm ALL stubborn. That also means I'll get drunk off my a$$, round alll of you up and kill you, then screw all yer sheep while playing the bagpipes! LOL.

Seriously, I lived in Germany for 5 years. They can be some of the nicest, sweetest, smartest people you will ever meet. Yes, to a certain degree stubborness does play a role. Why do you suppose that German engineers get to be so good at what they do? Goal-oriented stubbornness. Of course, the Swiss outdo Germans in this category.

Every group, classification, and race of people has it's traits; however, some of them are immortalized by stereotype. Believe me, there are stupid pushovers in Germany, also.

seriously? german people are just like everyone else. they're hardworking, some are stubborn--but then again, so is my grandma--some are laidback. they're hardcore soccer fanatics, diligent, but sometimes mess up royally. the one difference between germans and americans, on the whole, is that germans shakes hands and genuinely want to know how you're doing when they ask. it isn't like americans at the grocery store when they say 'hi, how are you today?' and don't really expect and answer back.

Hi lollypop. I grew up with the ancestors of the german scientists who founded what is today our space program. Brillance unmatched. No, not stubborn. More resolute, dignified and quietly reserved. Also, my first love, Marcus, was German. Very proud and highly intelligent. Although he considered others opinions, he stuck to his upbringing and his own research steadfastly. You had to be rather a convincing arguer to get him to change his mind as he would not argue or discuss anything whatsoever with those whom he considered to be ignorant, but would simply observe and listen quietly and tell me what he thought later when we were alone.

You can't categorize one group based on the actions of individuals. So basically, some are stubborn some aren't. Some Americans are stubborn and some aren't.

Just depends on the situation! If anyone thinks they are right during a discussion or argument, they can get stubborn about it. According to my spouse, I can get very stubborn!
