I have been looking at So You Think You Can Dance show and everytime the white competitors do a hip-hop dance they always look so goofy. Don't get me wrong, some of them can dance really good,(better than me), but why the funny looks?

I'm not at all offended.
There are certain things that Black people can do and Whites just shouldn't do.
Hip-Hop dancing is one and corn rows is another.
I'm white and I have to agree about the goofyness.

Because dancing so comfortably and naturally is a cultural thing. Most people that are not white learn it from the crib. They don't. There is no reason to generalize, but dancing is something most of us just get born doing, they don't. At least not hip hop.

because most white people can't dance most white people just do ballet and stuff like that not hip hop and white People well most white people have no azz to shake and most white people don't know how to dance freestyle they can only dance when they practice the dance over and over again

thats not really true.. whit ppl does not look goofy cuz i hav a lot of white friends and im white also.. i lov hip hip.. nd i noe how to dance hip hop... do u know alyson stoner. .shes not totally white but she is pr good at hip hop ! she danced with miss elliot and other ppl.... nd the kids in jamm X kids ! som r white nd they noe how to dance so !!!! ok. The fact of the matter is that white people cannot dance that well because they don't watch other black people dance...and most of us dance good because we have watched some kick@$$ dancers dance. I mean, lots of girls at my school learned to dance by watchin other girls dance. Crap, once I even aSkEd a girl to ShOw me a move she was doin.

i wish i could honestly answer that. i am white and think the same thing. there are very few white guys who can dance. it will be an unsolved mystery for many years to come. kinda like bigfoot....
