Permanent hair removal (IPL) for bikini area?

Have any of you women gotten that IPL hair removal process done in the bikini area? If so, did it work? How expensive was it and how painful was it? Would you recommend it?

I want permanent hair removal the other stuff gives bumps, ingrowns etc. Besides, I hate hair on my body and it's such a hassle to wax, shave etc.

why not just use a hair removal cream? these work well and do not hurt. im sure the new veet one can be used for bikin area.. it stays on in the shower, leave it for a while then wash it off with the sponge suplied.
