yes it is possible to live on mars but really only in the sense of complete dependence on technology we brought along, if the batteries ran out of juice we would probably get a tiny bit -40 degrees C cold, and the lack of any oxygen is probably a bit bad too, in fact mars has hot 95% nitrogen atmosphere. terraforming may be possible, but even with technology we can imagine it would take thousands of years, its possible that we may create new technologies that could do stuff like that, for example see one of the old Startrek Movies cant remember which one, the thing was called genesis or something,

well, currently, not really. getting the people to mars would be complicated enough (all sorts of logistics and maths involved in predicting where the planet would be in months' time (as that's how long it would take) and that could prove wrong), then there's the matter of taking enough food and water and oxygen with them, just for the journey would be a huge amount, but then when they got there, there would be no food readily avaliable, so they'd need more for when they're setting up the biosphere and growing plants inside it so that there's enough oxygen to support life and so the plants can respire enough to produce water, which would take YEARS. And robots wouldn't be able to do this, because they just aren't skilled enough, and radio signals can only travel as fast as the speed of light, which takes a while to get from Mars to Earth and back again, so accidents would happen and there would be no way of fixing this. It is, in theory, barely possible, but in practice, I expected it would be utterly impossible.

Yes I beileve ther is poss life on Mars, we are not alone in the universe, I do not care what the critics say, I also think that beneath the surface of Mars there is plenty of CO2 which realease what make mars a habitable planet, we just haven't got the means to travel to Mars as of yet, but they are just waiting to be found

You mean us humans going there? Or evidence of life before on Mars?
It has been PROVEN that Mars could have supported life, but we haven't found evidence of life on Mars yet. Humans can go to Mars, once we develop the technology, but we'll screw up Mars just like we screwed up the environment on this planet, so we won't last long.

Sure. But it would be expensive to get things started. As for oxygen and water, everything we need to make those is already on Mars...already on the moon, too, for that matter. The problem is paying for the all of the equipment that would be needed to get things going AND to transport the stuff TO Mars.
maybe you could solve this??

It's well possible, just not for a while as we ain't got it terraformed yet, though I often wonder if some other planet's beings aren't terraforming Earth to make the atmosphere have more CO2. By the way, I bet Martians eat Earthbars!

NOOOOOOOO, if just sendin the Columbia out they are sweting cold... imagine to colonize Mars... maybe in 5 000 years... with a lot... LOT... LOT...of inversion... and by the moment of that tecnology probably another planet with much better probabilities as Europe, the moon of Jupiter woill be selected.

Life form is possible as water in the form of ice is found. There is some sort of oxygen available. But living conditions for survival of human being is not available there.Perhaps lower levels of life, like micro organisams, bacteria may be possible.

i think it could quite possibley happen, the way technology is developing it won't be long before they find a way of creating an atmosphere on Mar's that humans could live on, i hope they do, with the growing population of the world it won't be long before we run out of rrom on this planet, lets just hope your aunt and uncle don't decide to move there, it's quite a treck to go visit them.

I think so, but probably not in the traditional sense. Mars is entitled to its own forms of life surely.
