When he calls for me and when I'm not home he talks to my mom for 10-15 mins and i thinks thats not okay!! only because she tells me don't cheat on him, don't talk to him that way, Be nice!! AAHH!! its getting on my nerves!! what should i do? I don't want him to think that I'm being dumb but it is kinda werid!!

I am actually pretty close with my boyfriend's mother. We talk on the phone when he isn't home, like your boyfriend does when you aren't. You should like that your mom and him get along. My parents don't get along with Steven (my Boyfriend) very well and that causes a problem between us all. It makes our relationship harder. I would say that it's cool of your boyfriend to be able to talk with your mom like that. Maybe you shuld be a little more open minded about the situation. Though I can see how it would be a little uncomfortable. You could try telling him that it bothers you a little and that you don't know why, but it does so maybe he could cool it down a little?

I think you actually have a pretty good set-up. A lot of times, it can be difficult finding someone that a parent approves of, and when you find someone who your parent gets to know and actually likes, life goes a lot easier. I think you should count it as a blessing. Unless, of course, you're not interested in the guy that way...then it can become kind of annoying and turn into your mom trying to pressure you two to hook up.

It's totally cool. Not only does it mean he respects your mom enough to talk to her, it also probably means he really cares for you. I am sure a lot of what they talk about is you.
In fact, it can work to your advantage. Most of my friends were/are female (no I'm not gay). Any way... chances are if you're upset about something and you don't want to talk to your parents about it (probably because they're the reason you are upset) he can tell them not to worry and that he knows about it and they'll trust him, no questions asked.

How old are you? There is nothing wrong with your friend liking your mom, and nothing wrong with your mom liking him. If your parents like who you are hanging out with, they're a lot more likely to give you more freedom and trust you. They're not out to get you, they want the best for you.

It's sad that you're actually jealous over your FRIEND talking to your mom......if u were to start dating, wouldn't u want him to get along with ur family? There shouldn't be a problem with him talking to your mother.....now if he starts hitting on her when he comes to the house...or if they sleep together.....that's a reason to be upset.

It is very cool that your guy friend talks to your mom. but if it bugs you then tell him that if something is bothering him then he needs to talk to you about it. and nicely tell your mom that you want to make the connection with him not have her do it for you. OPEN COMMUNICATION is key. but do not be a snot!
