Did you notice that Asian (Girls) tend to marry Foreign (Guys)
but while you may not see too much of
Asian(Guys) marry Foreign (Girls)? Why's that?

Probably because Asian guys think foreign girls are ugly! But foreign guys are attracted to Asian girls because they are beautiful and petite and ussually know and are willing to make their men happy. Most of the Asian girls I knew fit that description. If I were young again I would head to Japan, Korea, the Phillipines, (especially the Phillipines), Malasia, India, and ofcourse China. There is just something about a beautiful Asian girl!

The reason you see more Asian women in mixed marriages than Asian men is because more girls than boys were adopted from Asia. There are no community or cultural norms or expectations they have to uphold. These kids are now adults and marry whomever they want. They are purely American and don't know anything else. Most of them grew up in communities that are mostly White.

I believe this is a question of economics and social status. In many asian countries, women are socialized into the role of being subservient to males, and as such tend to focus their careers in lower paying fields. Along comes a foreigner, who, if you take the example of an American English teacher in Shanghai, makes 6 times what a native teacher makes in a different subject, so she sees that man more capable of adequately providing for her than his native born Chinese counterpart. This transfers to the U.S. in the way that here, caucasian males are seen as the majority, and hence have a higher chance of being a member of the power elite, hence a woman would want to be in on that for status in society.

Probably many personal reasons women want to marry someone of their own choosing but often because they are not appreciated or respected in their own culture. Often see marriage as a chance to escape from values they do not share. They like the idea of marrying for romance. Asian Men tend to honor their ancestors and marry wives who are accepted by their family.
