people seem to hate him for some reason. i certainly dont but heres my theory on why some do....
1. they are jealous that he is a talented football player
2. they are jealous that he has endorsement deals and gets paid TONS
3. they are jealous that he models
4. they are jealous that he is GORGEOUS!!!
5. they are jealous that hes 21 years old and has accomplished more in life that many people will EVER
makes sense to me. i still like him though.

I love the guy. Ronaldo's got attitude and skill. He's a target for haters because he's a threat, but he handles it well. The booing just seems to spur him on, and I admire that. And of course, he's rather good looking.
I think you're right--you either love him or hate him. He's not one of those players who can just blend into the background; he's in your face, and that can go either way.

he is a talented player i soo love him (not becoz he's cute) i just enjoy watching him plays.. i dont know why ppl hate him..poor guy.. actually english ppl r bullies and rude.. so what if rooney was sent off .. he step on the portuguese player (in a very sensative place)
he deserve the red card...if rooney did the same to c.ronaldo i wont hate him for that.. i mean look at those stupid fans they soo loved him in Man Utd but now he's the hated one....

Well I'm 'in between'...he's got good ball handling skills, and he seems to have good tactical skills as well...but he's also quite the drama queen on the soccer field, which I can't respect. He has great potential, but someone is pampering him way too much.

Well, I love him and it seems that other people hate him especially the english and the french all of a sudden. So, it is you either love the poor guy or hate him.

seems to me most girls "love" him (lust would be a better word)because he's cute - girls are naive like that, that's why so many end up getting hurt.
guys see him for the cheating play actor that he really is.
