You can find it in walmart, in two locations and with two different strengths. Location one is in the pet supplies department. and the other is in the Pest control area next to the ant and Roach bates and rat traps. Its like talcum powder. Lowes and Home Depot as well as many corner RX stores have it too.

Boric acid may go under another name. I actually think you might be able to get it at a Ralph's. But if not, you can always try education stores. They sell refills of boric acid for little kid chemistry kits.

Boric acid is sold at the grocery store on the laundry soap aisle. It is usually under the brand name 20 mule team Borax. cost about $3.

20 mule team Borax and Boric acid are not the same.
Borax is Na2B4O7-10H2O, Hydrated sodium borate
Boric acid is H3BO3
You can get Boric acid at Home Depot.
