That was a lucky break for the French. Portugal should have won. That penalty was stupid and the refs are completely stupid. This was not the first time the refs f@cked up with their decision making. I hope the French lose to Italy, I hope the Italians beat the sh!t out of them. And, I hope the French realize they did get a lucky break!

It's not insane nor stupid. Portugal was play acting and the referee saw it through. Ronaldo was throwing himself unrealistically hoping to get a penalty kick. Figo faked and when the officials were taking him out, he suddently stood up. If Portugal are such good players they should play the ball and not play-acting in the field!
Pedro ST: Accept the fact that France won fair and square. I know it is difficult to admit defeat but you just have to swallow it.

That penalty was a really bad call, but Portugal didnt really play signifigantly better than France. While France didn't deserve to win, niether did Portugal, in my opinion. They had some great chances, but couldnt finish. FIFA is responsible in my opinion. Giving that reff to this game after the job he did in the USA-ITA match is inexcusable. Its really a shame, because I felt that after the POR-NED match the ref's were pretty good. Until today.

Singapore sling: why on Earth would Figo fake and injury when Portugal was 1-0 down and needed to recover? The foul was in midfield...no danger for the French involved, and we were one man down till he returned. I can accept the fact that you know nothing about football, but at least try to act like you have a brain.

Yes France won and yes they deserved it. Portuguese fans shouldn't criticize the refs because if it weren't for bad reffing calls in favour of the portuguese team, then Portugal wouldn't have made it past the Netherlands. You should be thanking all those bad refs that make crappy calls because up until today it worked for you. I love Karma!

No but I honestly feel it doesn't matter.
I know I might be shooting myself in the foot but Italy is so strong.
Italy has played the best in the world cup so far. As a team. Maybe not the best player but playing as a team. Offense, Defense, and Coaching... I think Italy if they show up on Sunday will break the drought and take one home again.
FORZA ITALIA!

you know, i do have to agree with you on that, but like we have seen with a few of these teams some times they just get out of wack of something. What about Brazil, i mean they were doing awesome, and they have always been one of the greatest team in the World Cup, but when they played France last sat, i couldnt' believe it! They were acting like they were playing against their neighbors or something, it was nuts! Needless to say, i was flabbergasted that they played and lost like that.
