Local pool dealers usually have the highest prices. EBay stores are not generally run by authorized dealers and when your pool equipment has problems, the warranty may not be honored by the manufacturer.

I've used several online pool dealers. They seem to have the better prices AND still are authorized by the manufacturers.

I've found an online pool dealer that usually has some of the best pricing and has live people that will actually answer their phone and give good advice on pool questions.

I recently bought a Hayward Filter and Pump Combo, I hp, on eBay for less than $300 which included shipping. I checked pool supply stores before going online and it would have cost me twice that to buy it at a store locally. I had it in about 5 days. I believe the Seller was Oregon Pool and Supply. They have an eBay store.
