i want one for my birthday help me convience them that i can get a rat

you have to remind them about things. that you are responsible. Ask them to give you one GOOD reason why not. and if they say "because no!" then they are scared of the rat. You gotta show them you know about it.

Go to the library and check out a few books on Rats. Show them you are interested in caring for it properly. Rats are actually great pets (my niece has one), they are smart, clean and very trainable. Not all rats are the kind you see on TV coming out of sewers. If you show your parents you took the time to do the research then they may think you are responsible enough for a pet. Good Luck

rats are good pets. maybe come up with a compromise and offer to fully take care of it. domesticated rats have a chance of carrying disease like any other pet. just because of their past and that they may not be found in the wild in the best places doesn't make them dirty.

Rats are staggering pets. they're in straightforward words evil in case you manage them badly. tell her that they are truly sparkling and are very sweet animals. they're regularly experienced and are plenty smarter and experienced than hamsters or mice. they're the exciting of a canines without the smell, poop, and upkeep. And if she pulls out the 'they could carry ailments' card, tell her 'so can some thing else.'

tell them that rats carry disease's. Also tell them that rats killed three quarters of the people in the dark ages by carrying ticks with the bubonic plaque across the seas.

Rats are great pets they're like really small and really smart dogs.I still havn't convinced my parents though.

Buy your own tailless one and say it's a hamster. That's how I got my parents to get me one.
