The dog is known as a "hot" meat and is eaten in winter, the insects are not delicacies there, they are normal dietary supplements for some of the country folk.

I know that "Dog" is mostly ate in Korea as a delicacy.

Yeah, i guess..like we eat Pigs, Chickens, Turkeys, Cows, Fish, Snails, Clotted Blood (Black pudding)...whats the point my man? It seems horrible to us, but its what they eat. They see us as just as barbaric, with our factory/battery farms and growth hormones..
