Wow, MTV isn't what it used to be. It's littered with horrible and bland pop/rap songs. I mean, Pearl Jam's new video/song "Life Wasted" is awesome, you would think the video would be in heavy rotation? Wrong. Instead, you have the untalented Lil' John in Pearl Jam's place. What happened? TRL used to be mainly rock, now the only rock is emo crap by Fall Out Boy and the All-American Rejects!! And the show used to play the full videos, now it's like 45-second snippets of each video!! What do you think about the state of MTV (I mean, come on. How could they put on crappy shows like Laguna Beach?) and, in particular, TRL.

I definetly dont like trl like i used 2.Nowadays they play mostly pop,rap,hip hop,and what now america considers rock.It's bullcrap.I remember when trl used 2 play good music such as Korn,metallica,and other great rock bands.They used 2 play plenty of old music from the great rock bands,who now create music that isn't even that great.Like i said old music is way better and trl proves it.All that's left are retarded emo's and dumb preps.What happened 2 the real music.To all the great rock music.MTV AND TRL HAVE COME 2 AN END!I got ur back on this one buddy,and definetly agree.

Well, first of all, TRL is a horrible show, but MTV can't control what music videos play on MTV because the viewers vote to see which videos make it on that show. You cannot blame MTV for the selection of videos of TRL. Also, MTV plays a broad range of music videos in the morning call, Morning Video Wake Up, which play full music videos instead of 45 sec snippets. If you want even a broader range of music videos, choose VH1.

Yea, it's hard to believe that trl is supposively a countdown that people vote for. Ironic that the 10 songs on the countdown are the only 10 videos mtv ever plays. Fuse is a little bit better with showing more artists.

your probably getting older, im the same way. thats the crap that sells to the teeny bop generation. i agree, mtv used to be better when it was just that, music television. its pretty sad when pj gets booted for some other crap, and trl is a horrible show. but mtv is probably trying to fit in with the whole reality tv thing and i guess it works for them. but ya mtv sucks.
