Nerver let anyone take her out. I mean unless it's the Dad. Would you feel relaxed knowing your baby is with someone else that is not you?
My daughter is 8 years old and I still think about twice before I let her go out with her dad who doesn't live with us. You have better control over your kids when you are a part of their every day life.
If you need a day to yourself, take her to grandmas house. Your mother is the best substitute for yourself. I don't know, maybe I'm over controling, but my kid loves hanging around with me and she's developed a kind of protective cocoon around herself. She doesn't trust people that easily. Specially strangers or people she is introduced to.
I happen to like that. I have a conscience aware child.
That's peace of mind ;)

I've heard that after 30 days its safe to take the baby out of the home, their immunities are building strong and if the baby had any health issues some serious ones should have already been determined by this time.

You should take your baby out and let other people take her out only after she is 9-10 weeks old. Babies have a very weak immunity system and letting them come in contact with various people would make them susceptible to diseases. So better you wait until your baby is 10 weeks old and then only let someone take your baby out.
Please also remember that sunlight is very important for your baby as it provides Vitamin-D. So make sure that your baby is having enough of sunlight every day. This would strengthen his bones. Every day 1 hour early in the morning is enough for the baby.

At least for the first week, both of you need space to breath and get used to each other. Some people say right away you can take them out, others say wait up to a month. I had my daughter out, for brief trips, at around 2 1/2 weeks. Nothing major, just short shopping trips.

each of us feels differently about this - use your judgement and what you feel most comfortable with. When babies are just a few days/weeks old, you need to be careful of people who are sick and exposing them to too many germs since their little immune systems are not ready for that yet. But if you are feeling up to an outing, or the baby seems to respond well to be out and about - go for it. Babies under 6 months of age though should not have prolonged sun exposure - they can't wear sunscreen yet and sunburn is really bad for them at this point (of course it is bad for all of us, but you know what I mean). Good luck!!

I took my baby out the day that she came home from the hospital.
It's going to be your personal comfort level. My parents-in-law took her out when they came to visit two weeks after she was born. My parents have taken her overnight at 8 weeks. You have to do what you feel comfortable doing. You are the mommy. No one is going to be able to give you the "right" answer.
Just make sure that when he/she goes out, that the ones taking her are not sick or around sick people, and that they use the proper "gear" (car seat).

I took my baby out walking everyday from the time we got home, its great exercise for you and fresh air is good for the little one. Watch the sun though, keep her in the shade. I didnt let anyone touch or hold my baby until they washed their hands, dont just keep her from sick people, you dont know what people have been doing or touching before they tickle your babies face or hold them. Breastfeeding is also great for her,she gets your antibodies through breastmilk and it helps build her immunity system up.

Hi I just had a baby myself. He is actually my second, every child is different in their on little way. With my daughter we were in walmart right out of the hospital. However with my son we were a little guarded because he has eczema really bad. When ever you feel safe and who you trust no one can answer that for you. Allow you motherly instincs to kick in.

That is up to you when you take your baby out. She isn't going to break if you goes out. I actually took my 5 day old daughter on a houseboat for 3 days and we had a blast.
