The Venice-Simplon Orient-Express alpine route went:

London-Folkstone-Boulogne-Paris-Basle-Zurich-(spur line to Chur) St. Anton-Innsbruck-across the Brenner Pass)-Bolzano-Verona-and Venice. The Orient Express could also be taken all the way to the western side of Istanbul, but I don't know the rest of the route.

I'm using a schedule of an Orient Express Route (a train) that follows the ancient Route (the cities that it stops in so you can find them on a map and make a line of the Orient Route for your convience). Hope it helps:

Paris - Vienna - Budapest - Bucharest - Istanbul
