some are racist because they have stereotypes. I have a master's degree and a few white people treat me like I don't speak english and I just "got off the boat". I am asian american by the way.
I have met some really nice white people, so it really depends on how they were raised and where they are from. I noticed that living in the south, I have encountered more ignorant white people as opposed to living in california or areas where there are more minorities. Not all white people are racist though.

Maybe it is where you live because I know thousands of whites who are not racist(myself included) and I think that is a very stereotypical question that you are asking. should I ask you, why are all black so ignorant, wouldn't you then think that I was racist? You get from people what you show them if you show your own racism, you will be treated in the same way and if you are the most respectful person that you can be then you too will be treated with respect. It all goes back to what Jesus told us to do "do unto others as you would have done unto you"

Not all white people are racist! It is getting to now days that a lot of other races are racist against whites because of what some of them did in like the 1800s. That is exactly it. It was over 200 years ago. Get over it cause we aren't like that now! That is a very racist question.

"White people" is racism in itself. "White people" aren't racist. People are racist. Some people aren't so narrow minded as to think that the race defines the person, but at first glance we all tend to stereotype somewhat based on race, dress, and apparent wealth. We learn from our experiences. If you had a bunch of "white" people and one "black" person who were all too young to understand racism, and they grew up together that "black" person would be the same as all the "white" ones. The same effect would be if you reversed it. It is a cultural stereotyping, but it happens to everyone. I am not racist, I think that racism has become more of a problem on the reverse side personally...but that's just me. In any case, it's always wrong.

I dont think that all people are racist, however living down south for 5 years has me thinking that all white southerners are racists. But alot of black people are racist too. The way that black people are treated down south is really making me turn racist. I was'nt raised that way, but down here, they make it hard to trust or like white people.

To ask that question in to be racist yourself. Racism implies that you judge an entire group of people by skin color or nationality.
I am a "white" person (I'm not so white, more of a peachy color), and I'm not racist.

I don't know what you intend to get out of this question; it's a complex issue, but if you want to research it more I suggest you read, "the Possessive Investment in Whiteness, How white people profit from identity politics by George Lipsitz.
