If your are concerned about the price then you shouldn't get one at all. In your quest to find the 'cheapest' gecko you'll most likely end up with a sick, skinny animal that is going to die.
The best place to find one would be a breeder but a reptile store would do as long as the animals look healthy and sound.

Maybe if there is a walkmart supercenter nearby? Or a store of that sort, they usually sell pets...not sure if they have leon geckos though..
