The "wildest" thing I ever saw was a solid becoming a fluid. I was in the Mexico City earthquake- "el grande" in 1985. It was an 8.3 (or something) magnitude temblor. We lived in a colonial building with wooden floors. The energy waves hit the city like a Giant shaking a bowl of gelatin because the conquistadors filled in the lake beds with dirt. The city was built upon these ancient lake beds and in effect, is like a floating city surrounded by mountains. So when the tectonic plates off Acapulco broke loose the energy waves traveled inland, meeting up with each other and amplifying the power they had until they hit el D.F. or Mexico City. When all of this energy hit the city, the waves traveled into each structure where they reverberated throughout each level of the buildings. The wooden floors, formerly solid and stable became charged with all of this energy and formed waves! I swear to you that my wooden floors had waves about a foot tall and about a foot apart! It wasn't a hallucination as were were bumping up and down with each wave. The earthquake lasted seven minutes, during which time we witnessed the walls twisting and the ceiling above looked like a giant diaphragm breathing in and out. The windows were thrashing open and closed, we could hear glass breaking, then finally buildings crumbling. The ensuing aftershock was a seven point something and it also formed waves in the floor but the waves were not as high as the eight pointer. All in all, the most striking sensation during the shaking was that of a person being tossed around on the high seas during a tremendous storm.

Several years ago in Carbondale Ill I think it was about 1972 there was a fire at a local night club during the daytime, While standing a block away there was an explosion and a beer keg came down near me right in front of a turning car. It scared the crap out of the driver as it bounced up over his car again lol

About 50 Japanese men, wearing diapers and being chased by the police in the center of Tokyo. No Joke - the funny thing was it was some kind of protest, the police arrived at about 8pm...

At 3am, while moving onto the next club, we saw the police still running after these almost naked men!

A car passing my husband and I as we drove on a NYC street and then that car hitting a cement barrier and flipping over. Amazingly the driver was not hurt.
