Yeah mate you DID see right, it was NOT your imagination.
But this is nothing new, The Portugese National side have been at these larks all the way through this World Cup, and I think that tonight's Ref was wise to them.
The funny thing is that IF they had a legitimate claim for a penalty tonight I think that all their diving would have worked against them and the Ref would have turned them down, He would only given a Pen for them if he was 100% sure.
This Diving is also a regular occurence in the Portugese League, it's part of the way that they play the game.
FIFA and/or UEFA really have to crack down on these cheats in the game (Not just Portugal) remember Thierry Henry tried to get Carlos Puyol sent off by pretending Puyol had elbowed him in the face.
This Cannot be tolerated any more and some drastic action needs to occur, for instance Henry should have been banned for his actions in that Spain game, maybe 2 or 3 games, But if it had been in a League game I would ban him for even more games say 5 - 7, He would'nt do it again that's for sure.

what do you call Henry doing to get that penalty kick? huh? there was the slightest, SLIGHTEST, bit of contact, and he went down. The reff bought that one, and not Portugals...so that makes Portugals worse? So that just mean that France is better at diving than Portugal...and you are proud of that...so...now both of the teams in the final are a bunch of whiny, diving, little arogant bastards who have got no class at all and no respect for other teams...good luck in the final...we all know that portugal and germany have bigger hearts than you.

i was disapointed in the lack of actual football skills used this year in a lot of the wc games. i think the italy germany game was the best by far,they both played brilliantly,there was no diving,no arguing and i couln't believe my eyes when a german player helped an italian player with cramp,something i didn't see in other games,lol!! it was a shame italy scored at last minute,coz they both played so well,that penalties would have been farer! what do you recon? :)

Portugal did this at most the the games they played in, anyone who went within 3 feet of them they all fell down, they could win Oscars for their acting!!!!!!

specsavers u need 2 go there. After zidane scored, the french deffender fouled the por playa inside the pen box. they blocked it so da ref cant see it.

Yes, it's true. But it was still a great game. I wanted them both to be in the final. Now I will favor FRANCE over Italy.

I know, I expected a great game tonight and got really disappointed; the Portuguese just made fool of themselves and lost credibility. Shame for them, for us, for football.
