I don't want to blame porn for my lack of sex, or cowardice in finding women. Now when I talk to a woman my mind goes to a porn scene. Even when I don't want it to. This kind of wandering makes me fearful that porn could be slowly destroying my life. I'm not sure if it's the porn or because of my desire for women. Maybe I should stop and go talk to someone.

Porn desensitizes men to real relationships with women. Millions of marriages and couples have fallen apart due to the habit. It not only will isolate you socially, but cause you to confuse reality with fantasy. Porn often leads to violence because it has been proven scientifically that watching an unreal image engaging in sex makes men look at women as mere objects to be used.

Real sex is far more preferable than self-induced orgasm. Get a little initiative and courage. There is a girl out there for you! She might not be able to do everything you see in movies but just having someone in your life you can relate to and enjoy intimate time with, is worth a million illusional film flicks.

There are books on the market which can help you with this problem but I suggest you go to a reliable Christian counselor who can redirect your libido through two means:
1) Counseling
2) Cleansing of the mind through acceptance of the psychological and spiritual absolution Christ offered by dying on the cross. Psychology alone will offer many suggestions but no real solution.

Overdosing on porn makes you objectify women more easily. You will be more likely to desire what you see in the porn images. The problem with that is those women don't even look that good in reality when the makeup is off. Porn sets you up and the women that you want to be with up for failure. The "amatuers" that you encounter will not meet the standard set by porn stars.

Porn doesn't screw up your brain...Porn is a good thing... And as far as it taking over every aspect of your social life I don't think you can blame porn for that.... Ask yourself this... If you weren't enjoying porn wouldn't your mind still see that girl you meet bent over with her skirt yanked up over her *** while you drilled her from behind? I am guessing your mind would go there regardless. You are a man.. that's where our heads go... embrace it.

But I really don't think porn screws up anyone's brain...

In Fract I are wathcing sum rite now am it not do nuffing to me brian.

sounds like you don't get out very often. I look at porn and masturbate ALL THE TIME, AND I have a girlfriend with whom I've been with for over two years (and yes, we do it ALL THE TIME (in addition to my masturbation)). I have a fairly active social life and I operate in other areas of life quite functionally. in my case, as much as I love porn and masturbation, it hasn't negatively affected my life. I think as long as you make an attempt to balance out everything else in your life and maintain healthy social activity, the porn obsession should not interfere with your life the way it does now.

you should cut down on it or cut if off completely because it seems like your brain has developed a dependancy on it and is obviously automatically making oyu equate any interest you have to some type of porn scene..and ssex in general..porn can really screw you up .... you can even start to confuse it with reality..try to cut it off as soon as possible and try to get some help..good luck!

Pornography is not the problem. You're simply rerouting your sexual desires into a readily-accesible form.

You're just fine.
