Piles or hemorrhoids are varicose veins in the anus and rectum. They can result from sitting a lot (especially on the toilet) of from long periods of frequent constipation. They usually itch and may bleed a little. If the condition is not serious, there are over-the-counter medicines (Preparation H is one) that help relieve the symptoms. If they are painful and bleed a lot, you should see a doctor--the most severe cases require surgery.

hemorrhoids...when used in this context it usually means all the stuff that comes with it....piles are caused by sitting on solid concrete for more than 5 or 10 minutes at a time...It mainly results in piles of feces wherever you choose to leave them.

Varicose veins in the anus.
Anal sex would be pretty much ruled out for someone with this condition.
