Ebay is great, but some of the people on it may not be so great. There are some safety points you should always consider to keep the shopping an enjoyable.
1. Always read the complete description. The title may be misleading. If the price is too good to be true, you probibly are not getting what you think.
2. Watch out for inflated shipping costs. Some sellers have a large shipping cost to keep the cost down.
3. Check out the sellers rating. You may not want to buy from a new seller because you don't know if they are for real. If the buyers has a poor rating, go read the reviews. This has saved me a number of times.
Good luck and happy Ebaying!

Most sellers are legitimate. You have to look at their percentage of satisfied customers and how long they have been selling. It can be a lot of fun and you can find some great bargains there, but you should be careful as with buying anything sight unseen. I have bought movies, jewelry, home interior products, and Tupperware just to name a few. My husband bought new cell phones and we inserted our sims cards, jewelry, DVDs, and toy hobby products. My dad bought collectible dishes, tractors and tractor parts, and other collectibles. Hubby had delay in getting one of his items, and Dad had to get Internet fraud division of FBI involved on one of his auctions. Hubby's seller told him he had a funeral, would be back home in 3 days and would send the product then. He sent it 2 weeks later. Dad's situation was a lot more complex but 6 months later he received the tractor motor. There were several other people who were defrauded by the same seller. I'm not sure if they received their products or not, but the authorities were investigating and going after the seller.

eBay is as good as the people on it.
I have had relatively little problem there, but the problems I have had just were off the hook and nearly out of control.

Ebay rocks. Millions and millions use it happily (I'm one of them.). However, there are some phony people out there, so use caution.
