Yes. But in Portugal they eat Too much fish, so they like to dive and flop about. I think that when Rooney gets hold of Ronaldo, everyone will think that Ronaldo has been eating chicken all of his life.

It wasn't a great match and France never looked like doing anymore than they had to. Once they scored it was all over for Portugal because they cannot score from open play against the better sides. Hence all the diving around in the box in desperation looking for a penalty. I hope the French step it up a gear against Italy other wise it has all the prospects of being another boring match with 2 teams cancelling each other out.

I hate to say this cause I was going for Portugal, but yeah, France played MUCH better, even if they didnt score on the penalty France would have eventually scored the winner. Did anyone see Deco? I think he was helping the linesman out cause he didnt appear during the WHOLE match. While C. Ronaldo is a great player, I think he though he was Pele or Maradona trying to win the game on his own...it showed a bit of inmaturity on his side. Figo could have tied the game easily but missed terribly...sorry, but France was just the better team today :(

Im in no way shocked Portugal lost. they have ridden their success for the completed adventure, and create in user-friendly terms a million/2 opportunities which they are actually unable to coach into targets. Figo was once good yet he's now old and drained, plus he headbutted a participant against Holland in the back of the ref's back, which became dispicable. Christiano Ronaldo is a pointless coach-off, who tried some smart tricks which carried out genuinely not something and have been given him nowhere. the completed team has been grimy and cynical, and consistently attempting to con the ref. interior the top they only weren't good adequate, and have been very fortunate to get as far as they did. France deservedly beat them, England have been rather unlucky to lose in user-friendly terms on the penalty shoot-out to them, and Holland have been lots better than them yet have been fouled off the pitch by ability of Portugal. Their keeper Ricardo became their superb participant. yet i'm extremely joyful they have lost, because of the fact they did not need to get that far.

Not at all, France had a good luck with that Portuguese fault and consequent penalty, otherwise they wouldn't have lasted the extra time. They where already tired and where slowing down. Portugal had much more and better chances, but they missed Lady luck today, so don't be too full off yourself, the win was a present from Portugal, not a well deserved win...

If France played better than Portugal, how come they didnt score 2 or 3 more goals?? France was just lucky that they got that penalty kick, and Ricardo missed it. If Zidane missed that penalty, it would have went to penalties, and Portugal would have won! Didnt you see how Barthez was sleeping in the goals when Ronaldo took the free kick?? France is just lucky that they had a strong defensive side, because if they didnt...Barthez would have been FIRED!

not such a fantasic game, but has any one match been fantastic this world cup? France are not incrediable, by no means, and if Portugal had of won, it would of been through cheating, they have done it in every single game in this world cup.. no not a sad England suppoter, but a true footy fan that can see when players cheat, and Portugal have cheated their way as far as they got, as far as diving is concerned, Rinaldo played a blinder tonite, then went off crying at the end , serves him right and all the Portugal team, play the game properly, don't cheat your way there..should be tighter control over these matches, it's football, not swimming

I think the best team won. France definitely played a very good defensive game. Portugal played a bad offensive game, as they were not able to score despite the number of good shots on goal. Moreover, they were falling like flies around the penalty box and still were not able to score.

no way. i think that portugal played a good game....minus the diving of course. ronaldo should join a swim and diving team, cause he seems to have a flare to dive.lol. but anyway, i thought that he did play good at some points in the game...mostly his speed and footwork were excelent. and i didnt see the scolari afterwards..not even sure what that is.....what did they do?
wait...hes a player?..oops

yes France played better than Portugal if you don't even know the sport that the two teams were playing!
hey Henry I thought the French diving team didn't start competing till next year.
But give credit where credit is due, the referees will certainly go home very rich morons!!!
