Look out for the guys thike HFC and American General they charge high rates.

Go to clarkhoward.com he is a talkshow host in Atlanta on all thinks money. He will have information many credit help agencys do not report you getting assistance like in the past. They will lower or eliminate your interest and set up a payment plan without taking out a new loan. You usualy cannot get a new loan while in the program. Some charge high fees and are rip offs.

On a car you pay the most interest upfront. If you refinance you will pay this again.

Well you can't use the car as colateral since you are still paying for it, and with no other colateral, there are no companies who will do this for you. The best option for you would be to apply for another bank loan and use that to pay off your other debt. Then just make the one simple loan payment each month. (cut up the cards they only lead to trouble)
