I am thinking about seeing it, and have heard from one person that it doesn't live up to the hype. Is it really worth the trip to the theater or should I just wait for it to come out on DVD?
I would like only the opinions from people who have actually SEEN the movie, please. No clicking on the question just for the two points, thanks.

Thanks for your input everyone. Though not as many answers as I expected, it was still very helpful. Since it was 50/50, I think I'll just wait until it comes out on DVD. Unless of course someone else pays for my ticket. lol

Brandon Routh played a great Superman and reminded me a lot of Christopher Reeves
Kevin Spacey played a better Lex Luthor than Gene Hackman.
Kate Bosworth was not a very good Lois Lane I thought Margot Kidder played her better.
all in all I thought the movie was very good. I thought Kevin played Lex much more ruthless like he is in the comic books.

Wow...I guess I'm the only one here that loved the movie. Then again, I've loved Superman stuff all my life. However, for a bit of constructive criticism, I believe it needed more action. I'm not going to give anything away, but the first action scene with an airplane was totally awesome. I was kinda left waiting for other scenes like that to happen. There was a lot of action, but for some reason, it feels like there should have been more. Surprisingly, I've heard a lot of other people say the same thing.
Although you can wait for the DVD, I recommend seeing it in the theatre if you're a Superman fan. I'm gonna see it again in the theatre with a different crowd and I really look forward to it!

It's a relatively good movie and you'll love it while watching it even though I felt it was a little long. After the movie, I realized I quickly came to forget I had even seen it because I didn't find it to be memorable at all. Nothing stuck out and I didn't feel that it lived up to the hype at all.
My opinion- wait til it comes out on DVD.

My dad saw it and said it was Decent, but it could have been WAY better, also he said theres a HUGE TWIST in there that was never in ever of the comic books.... ITS weird!
