3)Recently MTV has started to seek ways to globally leverage ideas developed in national subsidiaries. Does this represent a retreat from its post- 1995 strategy or a refinance of that strategy? What kind of company do you think MTV is striving to become – a multi domestic, international, global, transnational company? Why?

MTV is trying to connect the so called global village - that is why probably they want the national independent productions to be equal, so that everything looks like one, and there is actually no difference wahtsoever between the countries, thus, eliminating uniqueness.

There trying to find ways to make money from the main stream in many markets, but because there executives are anything but mainstream, it is hit and miss, like playing a game of darts.

so they can sell more advertizing, the back lash is that people in other countries judge the usa based on what they see on tv and mtv isn't always the best picture of life in the us.

They don't show videos anymore; they suck. That's the kind of company MTV already is.
