This was realized by every king/queen/soldier of fortune/sufferee in time/etc. throughout the ages....someone discovers something and somebody else wants 'it'..anyway 'they' can get 'it'....And the WORLD is looking for a 'great' leader that has ALL the ANSWERS so there are those who come in sheeps clothing and really don't have any answers that don't already exist...and but for the ECOMOMIES INTEREST most of the problems/troubles/etc. wouldn't exist....but as light burdens for everyone....and thus the ANTI-CHRIST will arise useing/employing the computor to control most anyone getting a 'chip' inplanted into thier forehead or hand....coming soon...very,very soon....

No, because I have figured it out.
But even with my way, it only adds about about 100 years, so in 200 years yeah we are screwed.

Mr. Hawking is much more intelligent than most people so I think he is asking this question to get a feel how the average person thinks. I really don't think he is asking for a solution.

I think he went to see that Al Gore movie and got totally freaked out. I wrote him a nice answer to help reassure him. I hate to see him so upset. He thinks this world is chaotic? There are so many times of greater chaos in the history books...

Although, that crazy North Korean president does scare me a bit.

The human species is facing an overshoot and collapse scenario. There are too many people using too many natural resources. Unlimited growth with finite resources is not possible.

Although humans will probably be around in the future, I would expect it to be an impoverished one.

We are. It doesn't matter though, because he was speaking globally. Just keep your head focused on what you want out of life, and live the life you want. The world will take care of itself and Mr. Hawking.

In 2001 he predicted computers were going to take over the world. His idea is for us to colonize outer space since the Earth's days are numbered.

All due respect to Dr Hawking, but he doesnt have all the answers. None of us do. He is a physicist. A brilliant one, but hes just that. Basically, its his opinion.

I like to think myself of being positive. But I can't help but to remember the phrase my grandmother always use to say all the time. "We are going to hell in a hand basket". I hate to say it, but grandma may well be right on the money.
