Don't get me wrong, I'm up for a good once in a my whole lifetime, Disney movie, but I know 15 year olds who love this film...I understand 10 year olds, or maybe a couple 12 year olds, but come on, It was one of the most horrible movies I have ever seen. Don't you guys have any compassion for the good movies in this world? Besides, Zac Efron is not as great as everyone says. He's average, WOW...

I agree. I am 12 years old and most of my friends and older siblings love that movie. The lyrics are so cheesy and everyone thinks Zac Efron is hot. I hate that movie

Seriously Zac Efron has brainwashed all my friends! One even bought the movie on dvd! This is getting ridiculous! It wasn't that great a movie! I mean I have done a TON of musicals and I think that one just doesn't fit.

JESUS LOVES U!

No one is comparing this movie to Oscar caliber films. I think this movie is wonderful. My kids (7,5,3 and 2) love it and as someone who enjoys musicals, I (30) really enjoyed watching it with them as well. We've seen it a dozen times. The songs are catchy and Disney did a great promotional campaign by providing the lyrics so we could all sing along and showing us a couple of dance moves too. It's clean, it's fun and my question is how could you not like it?

It was nice to be able to watch a sweet movie with my kids and not have to worry about content.
My kids loved the music and dance sequences- and yes, it was a little light on plot line, but the message was simple enough for my 3rd graders (boy and girl) to understand and appreciate.
If I didn't have kids, I don't think I would have liked it that much-- but I do like the songs and dancing too.

P.S. I hated Michael Jackson in the '80's too, but loved his dancing.

well for one it inspires people to dance and sing. even if it was made for children some people like to have fun and have some spirit. (15 is still young by the way!) some people dont want to grow up and would like to just lay back for once. everyone is different and some people just like to be a kid sometimes.
