too fcking right!! that ref and portugal were cheaters against england!!! we got to penalties with a man down,which shows how sh1t they were and now france have prooved they're sh1t!! the italy germany game was wicked yesterday,they both played brilliantly,don't you think!!! seem as i am half italian and englands now out,i say italy to win! wot do you think? :)

YES!! I'm so glad that Portugal are out. They decided to cheat to win but forgot that cheats never prosper! I thought the referee had a great performance, almost all of his decisions were correct and he didn't fall into the trap of beleiving the diving portuguese. I have to admit that Portugal did provide great entertainment though. Seeing Ronaldo diving through the air like a swan and then tilting his head back like someone had just punched him when no-one touched him was hilarious. Also Postiga falling over in the box as well when no-one was even near him was great. And on both occasions the Portuguese were furious yet when Henry did actually get hauled down and didn't dive they were angry again. I'm happy that the cheats are out and I hope Germany win the third place game. GO FRANCE!
And for all of the people saying that at least Portugal made it to the semis and England didn't, I say how many times have Portugal won the world cup? I'd much rather have the nation I support have won the World Cup before but been knocked out at the quarters than support a nation that has only ever progressed to the semis, been knocked out and have had the team shown as a bunch of cheats and on top of that have the best player booed everytime he gets the ball because he is so much of a cheating diver that cries everytime something doesn't go his way!

I'm not a Portugal supporter,England all the way baby!!But i must say that if there was an Oscars night for the world cup theatrics then Portugal would have swept the board.They would have been the Titanic of the ceremony and even that went down quite easily when it was shoved!!Even poor little ronaldo cried like dear Gwyneth Paltrow at the end!! "And the Oscar for best villain goes to.............Christiano Ronaldo!!"Even the crowd at the stadium while playing France booed his little backside every time he touched the ball.Well what can i say,they are in good company with the thousands of fans that will do the same if and when he returns to Man U.Cheating Portugal out of the world cup..........PRICELESS!!!

You can say a lot of things about the English, positive and negative, but one thing they're not: unsportsmanlike ! The players take a fair loss like real men, wish the opponent all the best and be done with it. And then you have Portugal and Argentina, 2 teams, full of talent and possibilities. Yet, what do they do ? Waste their talent and blemish the greatest team sport there is with their ridiculous display of diving. Yes, other teams have actors as well (Totti, Ballack, at times Beckham,..), but not continuously and not several (in Portugal's case many) players on the team.
Before this world cup I never thought I'd cheer for the English. As a stout German fan, that just wouldn't work. Then I watched Portugal cheat the Dutch. Crazy, FIGO headbuts yet stays in ?
Van Basten looked like he was on a different planet. I suddenly became an England fan. Man, did I ever hope they'd wipe that cheeky smile off Ronaldo's face. But no, he had Roonie ejected. Don't tell me the Ref would have thrown him out anyway. There's no proof either way and my gut tells me that this Ref would have shown yellow had Ronaldo shut up. And then that wink ?!?!?!
Of course England, despite being down a man managed to keep Portugal off the scoresheet. Portugal won because of penalty kicks. *^$%*%&%($$$ . Ah well, at least the French came through. Zidane is one of the greatest players of all times, and he kicked Brazil's butt (!). Today he got rid of Portugal and I now hope that Germany will destroy Portugal on Saturday. Hell, Portugal couldn't do it in 2000, they couldn't do it in 2004 (GO GREECE) and they didn't manage now. Eusebio, a truly great player, should speak up and teach the Portugese players to be real men.
When I saw Ronaldo's sadness today a good old German word came to mind. Only German supposedly has a one word term for it, so it;s now in English dictionaries as well: Schadenfreude !

I'm being put off the English more and more. What does karma have to do with anything? It's football, someone has to lose. That doesn't mean bad karma has come back to bite them in the ****, it means the other team were better. France were better than Portugal, Portugal were better than England. That's how the competition goes. I can't see what you have to gloat about.
