I don't think there is one. I know that traditionally, many people will observe a year of mourning, but that really isn't necessary. Yes, there will be people who will react badly if someone got married, say, three months after the death of a spouse. But in the end, I think it's a very personal decision.

At LEAST a year, longer if necessary to properly heal. Sooner than that, a lot of times ends up badly. Grieve, mourn, and heal! Then start dating.........marriage down the road, if it works out.
