You and everyone else need not worry. You would never know if a nuclear bomb was going to hit the USA. If anyone pushes the button all hell will break loose. I was told with the new nukes, just 3 would devastate the whole USA. Not just that. You would not be informed. A nuclear bomb could hit us within a few short minutes. I doubt that the government would allow such horrific news of our impending doom. But if they did I would pray that my demise would be quick.

If I knew I couldn't get away in time, I'd find a good place to stay with lots of water and canned goods.

Btw, wouldn't it be fun to 'borrow' a sports car or motorcycle in a crazy wild moment like that, when people are all trying to flee, and see how far away you could get? lol Oh I know, in reality, we'd be running into each other! Sounds like a fun idea, though.

Pray, and if there was enough time try to get far enough away by driving until the traffic started to become a traffic jam, and then I would run the farthest away I could.

But if there was not enough time to get out of town, which is more likely, I would go play baseball first then tennis then basketball then football then golf(10 minutes each), Until I ran out of time.

By the time you received word that one was on it's way....you'd have oooohhh..maybe 10 minutes at best for something. I suspect knocking off a piece would be the very last thing on my mind. Probably just want to make peace with myself.

Call Al Gore collect and tell him that his problem is solved because a nuclear winter is going to counteract his global warming.

When is it gonna hit, next week? I'd try and get myself and my kids out.

In half an hour - get as close to Ground Zero (painless death) as possible and just cry and hold my children and promise them a Heaven I don't know exists.

Leave immediately. Unless I was Jack Bauer, and then I'd probably become a rogue agent while I doggedly tracked down the terrorist responsible, cheating death all the way!

If I had time to get out, I'd get out. If I did not have time to get out, I would gather with my loved ones hold them... tell them how I feel about them one last time. Then watch the bomb go off and die.
