You have a great work ethic. I suggest going to your local community college and speaking with a career counselor. They usually have tests that you can take (for free) that measure your interest and aptitude for various occupations.
Good luck!

whats your definition of good? With minimal experience in other fields, you must start at the bottom and work your way up. The problem with being 40 is that you have other financial responsibilities and most places are not willing to pay you anything higher than what your qualified for. My suggestion is that you go back to school... college or vocational and learn a new trade. I cant tell you what it is because it depends on what makes you happy.
I wish you the best of luck

I think your chances are good depending on your personality, and professionalism. If you're well educated, polite, responsable then you can definitely find something. I actually know people who got their master's degree at 55! So age is just a number show them what you can do! Good luck!
