Well, good question. Consider this: How did those lions survive on the boat for so long without eating any other animals? How could carnivores survive without killing some of the other species? It's a story that defies logic and common sense. Just like the rest of the Bible.

"Time" is a relative term in that story, as well as in numerous others. And from its (the boats) stopping point how did they all get to where they needed to be? Beforehand, how long did it take 3 or 4 people to travel the globe gathering them up? What about insects? Etc. etc. etc x infinity!!!
Not only how did they make it back but in what terms? Were they taken back? Go on their own? And if so, how would the animals know where they were supposed to be? (Regardless of being eaten along the way or not)!
Ummm??? I believe Noah was like 730 years old or some absurd figure similar. Granted the calendars may have been different, but in terms of the animals themselves time isn't really a factor. Two of them is enough to breed! How long the entire process took is the key, and geeeeee nothing is mentioned about that or is explained! How convenient.
All of it is a nice story. But so is Santa at the north pole hanging out with elves. And the tooth fairy is a nice story too..... If one chooses to believe those, how is it any different? Would they not be any less real?

First off, the Bible is not a religion, but the Word of God; anything contained in there comes from God through the apostles that wrote it. Why do you think that the animals had to return from where they came? Who is to say that they didn't just set up new homes where they landed, gradually migrating into lush grazing lands and pastures or whatever the animals needed to survive. As far as the lions and other carnivores eating the herbivores and other animals, you forget that Noah and his family had been feeding all the animals whie they were inside the ark, so I am sure that before they turned them loose, they fed them once again to make sure they were not hungry when they left the ark. If you have ever lived on a farm, you would know that you always feed the animals hay and oats before you turn them out to pasture.

the arch was built in the way so that the animals were in different pens from each other. A bit like the order of things in life that were in balance as opposed to random.
It is interesting that every culture has a creation story, a world wide flood story, a God of some sort, and a belief in an after life.
What an amazing and wonderful place this earth is.

Noah probably didn't let everything loose all at one time; he would have to feed the animals for a while--the water over all the land for forty days probably wasn't to good on the edible plant life either. Noah had to play zookeeper for a while I guess. (or, if you take things already established in other parts of the scriptures, maybe the animals all ate manna, and they liked it better than other animals)

Dude... People also say that it was the whole earth that flouded even though that isn't possible because where would the water go seeing as how it just recycles it self. They also wouldn't have any way to know that because there wasn't any technology back in the day like we do know

They probably were on seperate floors of the Ark and were fed with food that Noah already had on the Ark.

God put it into the animals to behave. He created instict so the animals could function but for the ark he probably took it away.
