He is a cheater and he dives all the time, we already discussed it. But what he was doing in the last game was simply mad-actually I think his diving was a main reason Portugal didn't score today. They major strategy seemed to win a ball from French in a midfield and after deliver it to the box as soon as possible where Ronaldo was assumed to finish. But he would just fell down theatrically each time ball would be close.. In the beginning it was cynical and insportsmanlike but at least logical, becasue could win them penalty, but after a while it was clear ref wouldn award penalty to Portuguese for his diving... And possibly even if he would really be brought down by foul, so pissed off everyone was. But C.R. kept diving, even in situations when he could have actually score would he stay on both feet..
If Scolari would take him out instead of Pauleta in a half time Portugal could get an equaliser.. I wonder what Portugese funs think of him now..

Though I don't agree with all of your comments, I do agree that after a while I got tired of his continuous falling over. Whenever the ball went to him or something, I expected him to at least touch it, but he just fell over and looked at the ref. Ugh. But I still love him; it was just frustrating.

i sorta agree with you. there were so many moments where he could have scored, only if he was still on two feet. but anyway, hes a pretty good player, being only 21 years old. who knows...maybe in four years time things might change. maybe he'll play for a different side, and the different team mates and coach might do him some good. but his game today wasnt all that bad. he took a couple real good shots that just missed the goal.

gooooooooooo italia!!!!

I agree there has been a lot of hype about C.Ronaldo, not sure if it was for his looks or his game. I think he's a talented player, but I agree that he was falling over quite a lot and I have yet to see a good play from him. He's still young, he'll learn from his mistakes.

Ronaldo is the most unsportsmanlike player in world class football - he is hated in England for this behavior, especially after he appealed to the referee in a deliberate attempt to incite Wayne Rooney against England.

as a team, portugal played with heart; but, heart and one man does not win wc games.

ronaldo, figo, and ricardo - they brought their game. i wish i could say the same thing about the rest of the team. the rest of the team played "not to lose". it showed in their defense and zero score!

france did not play "exceptional", just so-so. but it was enough to defeat an undisciplined and impatient portugual team.

He's a big girls' blouse. Nothing but a crybaby. A real man wouldn't demean himself by acting like such a wussy.

Next time england play portugal, every time she dives I wanna hear the crowd singing:
(to the tune of chirpy-chirpy-cheep-cheep)

WHERE'S YA MAMA GONE (LITTLE BABY RON)
WHERE'S YA MAMA GONE (LITTLE BABY RON)
......ETC

Portuguese fans:
1. love him
2. adore him
3. admire him
4. respect him
&
5. dream of having him playing in Portugal soon

Come home, Cristiano! All of us loooooooooooove you - angel!
By the way, his diving was taught in England (a.k.a. Angerland).

well, C.R. has been diving for a while i think,
and you lose respect for players who dive, it must be a clear win, no diving and free kicks, it clouds things.
so let them play soccer, and not diving.

nah. cristiano ronaldo played well. pauleta was less effective. ronaldo wasn't diving... he's just too quick and his legs get caught by defenders alot. it might look like something minor to u, but if u're running or moving at ronaldo's speed, u'd feel your body is lighter and much easier to lose your balance. thats why the impact doesnt need to be HUGE to cause ronaldo to fall over. and did u spell his name that way on purpose? why?
