Also, if anybody knows any other kinds of braids for a horse with a medium long mane, please let me know! Thanks!

Running braid:

This resembles a long French braid and requires a long-ish mane.

1) Start at the crest, braiding along and picking up a small section of hair close to the neck.

2.) Continue down the neck, incorporating small sections as you go.

3.) At the end, braid down the loose end and put in a rubber band.

4.)This braid slips out easily so should be done right before your class.

wouldn't it be similar to a french braid? weaving in a new section of mane each time you cross a section? it would get it woven in. i haven't done a braid on a horse in years so i am not sure and the ones i did were for english showing and were tucked under.
