as a child we had a grey viewmaster and a peter pan reel but my son when he was little had a red one with 101 dalmations the non cartoon one so its not that long ago.

I just bought a shrek one for my 3 year old at k-mart and they had others to choose from... they looka little different then when I was little tho but it was still the same concept.
