It's important because you get an education. Think of it as 13th - 16th grades. Also, it is a statistical fact that college graduates make more money in their lifetime than high school grads.

I'm not sure I understand your question, but if you're wondering why it's important to go to college, then consider this: you'll earn about 5 times the income in your lifetime as someone with a high school diploma. When you're finished with school, you'll actually get something fulfilling... a job you want to do, with decent pay... as opposed to just a job that just puts food on the table. Four years of work for a lifetime of happiness is totally worth it.

You will not learn anything important unless you're going to be a doctor or something like that. This being said, the most important aspect is partying.

Don't party too hard.
A difficult lesson for me to learn was this: If I get plenty of sleep and go to class, I get good grades.
Remember, if you're living on campus, away from your parents, no one will make you get up and go to class. You will need the discipline to do it yourself.

Class, obviously, and also all the life lessons you learn by being out on your own and surviving out from under your parents' wings.
