Maybe not. After all I might be afraid of what He says. I doubt that the "talking" would be different than the things he "says" in other ways. "Talking" to me has always been a simple pressure to do what is best but not easiest.

If He should talk, perhaps it would be better like the movie "Oh God" where he picks me rather than me asking for 21 hours or 241 hours. Besides, if He is listening wouldn't one prayer be enough. MAYBE the week of serious prayer is only to get you in the mood to listen. :)

I don't know...I'd like to say yes, but I already do think that serious prayer puts you closer in contact with God, and I still don't pray every day. I guess it's sad that I'd be so flakey on something as important as an opportunity to be closer to God...but I would be. So no I guess. (although I'd probably try for a few days)

Who is to say that people don't already do that? When you talk about praying, most people think that you have to get down on your knees, with head bowed and pray, but praying also means just saying, "Thank you, Father. for the cool breeze that you gave me today" and "Please, Father, help me get through this trouble I am in". You don't have to get down on your knees to pray, you just have to talk to God anywhere, any way as long as you do it. So I would say that I already pray about three hours a day and I already feel that God speaks to me every day, through miracles and prayers answered. Sometimes He even tells me no or wait and I understan. You just have to listen.

I think not. Who am I to presume to an audience with the One. I equate it to an insect wishing to express how it felt about things to me, lacking of course the benign way that I would treat the insect. The indulgence of God is not to be found in personal relationships with the One in my opinion. A most interesting question, thank you for asking it.
