Because they're assholes.
Simple as that. It was complete bull, he's done nothing but play his heart out. He's not a ref, he didn't make the call to get Rooney ejected. He just asked for a foul. Yes, I saw the wink. It's whatever. It's over and done with, England played like complete crap this entire cup, they were going to lose eventually.
Ronaldo is not a diver. I can name a million divers and Cristiano is not one of them.
Can't say he was show boating, he was being a team player.
So basically, it was people being assholes.

could be one for the following 3 reasons:
1. becuz of the rooney-england incident.
2. becuz he's got a rep for diving or goin down easily?
3. becuz ronaldo is an awesome (and dangerous) player and the french fans got intimidated each time he touched the ball, and tried to affect him mentally with the negativity.
I think its #3, cuz ronaldo was definitely a threat! he was awesome!
