I'm not sure how you could do that, but maybe you could have gum or mints handy and while you are talking to them take a piece yourself and offer them one. Hopefully they will take the bait and maybe get the hint eventually. This way it does not seem like you are being mean or rude.

I just have to say that when I saw this I laughed so hard for a long time. I still can't stop laughing!!!!! I think the best way to get your point across without hurting their feelings is to have some really strong breath mints handy and pop one in your mouth and offer this person one. Or you can type up a note telling this person in a round about way that they have bad breath. Of course this person doesn't need to know you wrote it. Whatever you do don't come right out and say it because that will really hurt this person and emberass them really bad inside. Some people have no idea they have bad breath. If it's not you that says anything trust me someone else will.

Depending on your work space, I would type a note without signing it along with a small bag of mints and say no offense but these may help. Leave it where they would get it.

Offer them gum and mints all the time. I f you have a desk they can walk up to put a little dish with peppermints. Challenge that person to drink listerine every day. Leave him/her a note or something.

Tell them that someone else said they had bad breath. Pick someone at work nobody likes. Kill two birds with one stone.

You can't. You'll just have to be a-human and either tell them that the odor coming from their mouth is very offensive OR Your hummin a tune I don't want to hear. You know how they say your breath is hummin. lmao

their feelings are going to be hurt because they don't know their breath smells so just say they should try mints or when ever you're around them just offer mints or strips or whatever you have cause oral hygiene is very important

Keep a small bottle of mouthwash handy. Take a swig, (as if it were beer or wine), and then politely offer it to them like this; "Want a shot"?
