You're probably just having an odd menstrual cycle. Here are some causes you could've missed periods. If none apply, perhaps you should visit your Doctor.

"Typical causes of primary amenorrhea include:

* excessive physical activity

* drastic weight loss (such as occurs in anorexia or bulimia)

* extreme obesity

* drugs (antidepressants or tranquilizers)

* chronic illness

* turner's syndrome. (A chromosomal problem in place at birth, relevant only in cases of primary amenorrhea)

* the absence of a vagina or a uterus

* imperforate hymen (lack of an opening to allow the menstrual blood through)

You can't miss four periods unless you are taking birth control or if you are pregnant. As for not gaining weight, excercise and make sure not to be lazy. Everyone is different, metabolism-wise, so don't feel bad if you are gaining weight and others are not.

If you are not pregnant, you might not ovulate. That is what happended to me. After I got of pill, I never got my period again. I had to go to the doctor to have tests done to figure out that was the problem. you should go see a doctor and have some test done - and if you are pregnant you should still see a doctor to make sure the baby is ok especially if you are not gaining weight.

It is possible that you are not pregnant... and in some pregnancies, you don't gain weight right away...

I gained only 15 pounds in my pregnancy.. and most during the last 2 months...

Ask your doctor if you are worried!
