"Classic" 70's rock: in particular, the mid 1970's rock n' roll.

Music during that time was done with intense pride: from it's muscians, studio sound engineers, concert stage staff--right down to the album jacket artists.

Each band had their own unique sound, unlike today's guitar sound--where they crunch/grind--and you can't tell one band's sound from another's.

Studio sound engineers who worked on many of rock's classic icon albums actually had college degrees, had skill and really knew their work. Music back then was masterfully mixed, with emphasis on CLARITY; today's studio engineers all think distortive "fuzz" sound is hot because any monkey can create it.

Bands in the '70's also put in great efforts in making their concert shows a memorable theactrical event, with emphasis on lighting/special effects and importantly--sound CLARITY (there's that word, again), getting as close as possible to studio quality in a live arena ; today's concert shows are roughly thrown together with a "take it or f-ck you" attitude.

Pull out some of those large 33/ 1/2 r.p.m records of the time: notice how even their album art work are like fine pieces of individual art, suitable for hanging on the wall? Today's CD album art looks like the inner mind of a crack-head.

Don't take my word for it; open mindedly compare '70's rock genre with today's "music". Something's terribly amiss in music today....and it needs to be fixed--fast.
